The Statement of the Committee of International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan concerning the Annual Reports of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Passed on 29 November 2023

The Committee of International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan dismisses categorically the ludicrous and biased ideas that contradict international law, also, are unethical and target the sovereignty of territorial integrity of our country, and are contained in the annual reports of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs ‘On the Implementation of the Common Security and Defence Committee’ and ‘On the Implementation of the Common Foreign and Security Policy’, both passed on 29 November 2023.

The speaker of parliament of Armenia Alen Simonyan once again distorted the realia present in the region and voiced the thoughts rather departed from the truth in his statement made to journalists on 28 November. Not only does this interview of the speaker of parliament of Armenia clearly demonstrate that the Armenian leadership are queuing for another batch of ‘absurd statements’, but it is also evidence of their endeavours to be constantly on the radar of their foreign patrons. It is simply impossible to give any other explanation for these last thoughts.

Going to PACE Meetings

The chairman of the Milli Majlis International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Committee, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE Samad Seyidov and the MPs Sevinj Fataliyeva, Rafael Huseynov, Erkin Gadirli and Kamal Jafarov will be in Paris on 30 November to 14 December.
