Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has gone to the hospital where MP Fazil Mustafa is on the mend following the terrorist assault on him on 28 March. She talked to members of his family, enquired after his condition and progress of his treatment, and was told that the medical specialists were doing everything within their power to make sure he recovers as soon as possible.

Sahiba Gafarova said that President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan had given relevant orders and the process was under in the sights of the concerned state departments. What else Mrs Gafarova said was that the Head of State had instructed the law enforcement authorities to initiative immediate investigation to find and bring to account the person or persons who had committed that terrorist attack. And the perpetrator or perpetrators will never achieve their ends, either, added the leader of the Azerbaijani parliament.

Fazil Mustafa thanked for the care and support before declaring his unwavering loyalty to the statehood stance and stressing that the hit was not going to make him stand down.
