Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova presided over the general discussions on the second day of the 6^th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva of Swiss Confederation on 30 July. Speakers of Parliament from approximately 30 countries delivered remarks in the debates. 

Following this, the debates continued under the chairmanship of Zhao Leji, Speaker of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China.

It is worth noting that the 6^th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament is taking place at the United Nations Office in Geneva. The event is jointly organised by the United Nations and the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The conference brings together 120 delegations, including Speakers of Parliament from 102 countries, Deputy Speakers from 38 countries, and representatives of international organisations cooperating with the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
