The biased information campaign levelled against Azerbaijan and conducted in certain mass and social media platforms of Türkiye of late as well as the unfounded accusations against our country, voiced by a few MPs of the ruling Justice and Development Party (JDP) and Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Türkiye Oktay Saral cause serious concerns and regret within the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Inter-Parliamentary Relations Working Group of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

We, the members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, write in response to your October 5, 2026, letter concerning Azerbaijan. We value dialogue with the United States Congress and share the goal of a durable peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The attitude of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Resolution of the European Parliament dated 8 October 2026
The Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan views the adoption by the European Parliament on 8 October 2026 of a resolution on the question of human rights and liberties in Azerbaijan, one far removed from objectivity, as a biased political action and firmly rejects the unfounded accusations constructed on false and fictitious information.

The Declaration by the Support Group for the People of Corsica of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan
The adoption in the National Assembly of France of the draft constitutional law providing for the establishment of the broadest special autonomous status for Corsica within the French Republic is an important milestone in the history of the Corsican people. The draft law provides for granting Corsica the broadest self-governing powers, taking into account the island`s historical, cultural, social and geographical characteristics, and is assessed in this regard as a significant political outcome of the peaceful, democratic and consistent struggle waged by the Corsican people over many years.

The delegation led by Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeenko, in our country on an official visit, arrived at the Alley of Honour on 19 May to honour the memory of our people’s National Leader, architect and builder of the modern Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev; a wreath was installed at his tombstone, which was adorned with fresh flowers.

The Attitude of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Resolutions of the Parliaments of Belgium and The Netherlands dated 16 April 2026
The Chambers of Representatives of Belgium and The Netherlands passed the resolutions on 16 April 2026 which are designed to strike a blow at the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process and at the steps also which aim to form an environment of peace and co-operation in the region via the combined endeavours of both countries. The Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan condemns and rejects categorically those unilateral and biased documents which refer in a distorted manner to the sovereign territory of our country and are built upon false claims and unfounded accusations.
