Speaker of Council of the Republic of National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova Goes to Icheri Shahar

Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova who is in our country on an official visit has been introduced to the Icheri Shahar.
The guest was supplied with detailed information about the ‘Icheri Shahar’ State History and Architecture Preserve, which is included in the UNESCO Heritage Lists, and about also the restoration, amenity and re-construction work apace there.
Then, she went to the Shirvanshahs’ Palatial Complex, a Mediaeval Oriental architectural masterpiece and an historical and architectural site of global significance.
It was remarked during the trip that the buildings of this historical monument, erected in the early 15th century, sat at the highest points of one of the Old City hills. It is clearly visible from the Caspian Sea as well as from the elevations that surround the city, and retains its historical and architectural grandeur even today.
Whilst on the trip, Natalya Kochanova also visited the street where one of the famous episodes of the Diamond Arm film had been shot.
The guest was intensely interested by the ‘Dastan’ brand of the Icheri Shahar Traditional Culture Centre.
Next, Natalya Kochanova called at the Belaruski Trade Centre active in Baku. She was told about the work of the Centre; she had a conversation with staff members.
