Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and Speaker of Belarusian National Assembly’s Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova Call at Heydar Aliyev Centre

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova who is in Azerbaijan on an official visit have visited the Heydar Aliyev Centre on 18 February. 

The guest was told about the Heydar Aliyev Centre, which is recognised as one of the unique masterpieces of world architecture. 

It was said that the Centre's activities are dedicated to the in-depth study and research of the state philosophy of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the ideology of Azerbaijani identity and the legacy of the Great Leader. The Heydar Aliyev Museum on the Centre premises displays various aspects of the Great Leader’s activities virtually, covering both the Soviet era and the years of the country’s independence. 

The guests first viewed the cars that were in the official service of the National Leader during his leadership of Azerbaijan from 1969 to 2003.

  The exhibits, photographs and multimedia hall, which cover various stages of the Great Leader’s activities during the Soviet era and the period of independence, aroused a keen interest in the guests. 

Natalya Kochanova also explored the ‘Pearls of Azerbaijan’ exhibition, where she was informed that it features unique artefacts showcasing the country’s vast natural resources, centuries-old history, and rich cultural heritage. 

It was noted that visitors to the exhibition can see rare examples of ancient crafts, including exceptional pieces from the Azerbaijani school of carpet weaving, as well as discover traditional musical instruments presented in their original – audible, that is – format. 

The exhibition also has on display Azerbaijani national costumes and ancient coins, and guests had the opportunity to view sacred books in various languages. 

Following her introduction to Azerbaijani musical instruments, the guest toured the ‘Dolls’ exhibition and the ‘Dance of Patterns’ display, which features Azerbaijani carpets. 

The Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus departed from the Heydar Aliyev Centre with pleasant impressions.
