Chair of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova Arrives in the UK on an Official Visit

The parliamentary delegation with Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova at their head arrived in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on an official visit on 11 July.

They were welcomed at the Heathrow Airport, London by the Azerbaijani ambassador to the UK Elin Suleymanov and other officials.

It should be mentioned that the delegation includes, amongst all others, the head of the Milli Majlis working group for the Azerbaijan-UK inter-parliamentary connexions Soltan Mammadov, the MPs Rafael Huseynov, Afat Hasanova and Anatoliy Rafailov and Chief of the Milli Majlis Staff Farid Hajiyev.

As for the itinerary of the official visit, it includes the earmarked meetings of Speaker Sahiba Gafarova with the speakers of both the Houses of Lords and of Commons as well as with several British state officials.

Our inter-parliamentary connexions’ today and tomorrow, broadening of bilateral and multilateral co-operation and other matters will be in the focus at those conversations.

This visit will be over on 13 July.
