Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has sent a letter to Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop congratulating him on the Victory Day – the day of the victory that turns 100 years on 30 August.  

Sahiba Gafarova’s congratulations go out not only to her Turkish counterpart but also to the GNAT members and the whole brotherly Turkish nation.

This Victory marks one of the brightest pages in the glorious history of the brotherly Turkey; the shahids who laid their lives down for the independence of their Motherland are remembered respectfully today again, the letter goes. Referring to Turkey’s achievements in every area as well as the international reputation and support she has won, Sahiba Gafarova goes on to point out that the Azerbaijani-Turkish friendship and fraternity have reached their highest point so far and that the efforts of the two sides’ legislatures contribute to making those bounds stronger still.

The Chair of the Milli Majlis writes confidently that the combined efforts the two sides will be able to continue strengthening and broadening the inter-parliamentary relations in the interests of our countries and nations.
