Chair of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova to Join 14th Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament

Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova is leaving for Tashkent on 7 September for the 14th Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament.

The Milli Majlis leader is expected to deliver a speech on elimination of risks to global post-pandemic recovery at the first session of the summit. After the summit, there will be a tour-de-table with the planned attendance of the women speakers; this event is to culminate with adoption of the Tashkent Declaration.

Also, Mrs Gafarova intends to hold a number of meetings with the other attending parliament speakers in the course of her working visit to Uzbekistan that will be over on 10 September.
