Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova who is on a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan and the delegation she is heading went to the Heydar Aliyev Square in Tashkent on 9 September. Together with the representatives of the Parliament of Uzbekistan and the Azerbaijani community of the country they put flower bouquets at the Heydar Aliyev monument erected in that square.

It should be mentioned that the Heydar Aliyev Square was inaugurated in the presence of the Azerbaijani and Uzbek leaders on 21 June this year in the course of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Uzbekistan.

The emergence of the square signifies the high standards of relations between our friendly and brotherly states.

Besides, the residential buildings surrounding the square in the Mirobod District of Tashkent with its dense Azerbaijani population were restored and the whole that area was rearranged completely, including softscaping and every recreation provision made for the residents. The large memorial complex honouring the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev is erected in the centre of the square.

The square that sits on the street also bearing the name of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev will become one of the preferred leisure destinations for the dwellers and guests of the capital city of Uzbekistan.
