The set of amendments to the Customs Tariff Law that has arrived at the Milli Majlis bearing the signature of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic envisages the exemption of a number of devices, equipment and implements used in education from the customs duties.

The full list of the to-be-exempted titles is going to be set and approved by the appropriate state department. The two-year exemption is supposed to hold in effect beginning on 1 January 2023.

Those amendments will help strengthen the logistical frameworks of the country’s general secondary education institutions and ensure their pupils learn higher-quality practical skills and abilities and, in general, they will raise standards on such a fundamental tier of the overall academic system as general secondary education is.
