Chairman of Slovak National Council Visits Martyrs’ Lane

The visiting delegation led by Chairman of the National Council of Slovakia Boris Kollár went to the Martyrs’ Lane on 13 June.

The Slovak parliamentary delegation paid their respects ad memoriam the heroic sons of the Motherland who had parted with their lives in the struggle for her freedom and sovereignty. Their gravestones were adorned with fresh flowers. Besides, the Slovaks put a wreath at the Eternal Flame Memorial.

As the guests of the capital city enjoyed its views opening from its highest point, they also listened to an account about the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and about the building and amenity work going on around Baku.

Boris Kollár gave an interview there, besides; he answered journalists’ questions about his visit to Azerbaijan.

The delegation were accompanied on the trip to the Martyrs’ Lane by Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev, the leader of the Azerbaijan-Slovakia inter-parliamentary connexions working group Anar Mammadov and other officials.
