Azerbaijani MPs to Join PACE Autumn Session

The leader of the Milli Majlis delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, chairman of an Azerbaijani parliamentary committee Samad Seyidov and the delegation members, MPs Erkin Gadirli, Rafael Huseynov, Nigyar Arpadarai, Kamal Jafarov, Parvin Karimzade, Fazil Mustafa, Asim Mollazade and Sevinj Fataliyeva will go to Strasbourg on 9 October to take part in the PACE autumn sessions.

Reports by the PACE Bureau and Permanent Committee will be heard there. Besides, the MEPs will be discussing the European prospects for the West Balkans, the cases of abuse of the Schengen data system by the Council of Europe countries to impose politically-motivated sanctions, the discharge of the membership obligations by Turkiye, Hungary and Romania, migration regulation and putting an end to discrimination against women in sports. Also, they will review the labour rights and broach other matters, such as prevention of discriminatory approaches in vaccination, to mention but one.

Our delegation’s members will comment on all the agenda items and will put across their own proposals regarding those.

The trip to France will conclude on 16 October.
