Azerbaijani MPs to Join V-Day Events in Uzbekistan

Chairman of the Milli Majlis’ Disciplinary Commission and leader of the working group for the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan inter-parliamentary connexions Eldar Ibrahimov, chairman of the parliamentary Counting Commission Eldar Guliyev and MP Mashhur Mammadov are leaving for Toshkent on 2 November meaning to join the Victory Day eventing there set for 8 November.

The official reception and festivities that the Azerbaijani embassy in Uzbekistan is orchestrating will bring Uzbek state and governmental officials, Oliy Majlis representatives, ministers, scientists and artistes.

They will be talking about the victory in the 44 days’ Patriotic War gained under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev; the audience will be made aware of the large-scale restoration in progress in the de-occupied Azerbaijani lands.

Also, our delegation are going to have meetings at the Oliy Majlis, with the Uzbek-Azerbaijani Friendship Society and elsewhere.

Their visit to Toshkent will be over on 5 November.
