Three Ghazis Become Employed at Milli Majlis
The swearing-in ceremony of a group of recent Civil Service employees, attended by Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and conducted ahead of the Victory Day on the 4th of November, began to the sounds of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Chair of the Milli Majlis said at the ceremony that professional and able people and, especially, youth were provided with proper arrangements and circumstances in Azerbaijan in accordance with the president of the country Ilham Aliyev’s HR policy. Industrious youth are admitted to the Civil Service at the Milli Majlis too, similarly to the other state departments and branches. It is encouraging to know that there are three ghazis decorated with orders and medals for their courage during the 44 days’ Patriotic War are amongst those being admitted to the Civil Service today, she continued. We trust, Sahiba Gafarova added, that in their new roles they will also live up to the trust placed in them and serve the State and the Homeland faithfully.
The swearing-in proper followed. Amongst the new civil servants sworn-in were the ghazis Nijat Ilgar oglu Abdurrahmanov, Izzat Zakir oglu Balajayev and Bashir Nabi oglu Huseynzade. The leader of the Milli Majlis wished them success in the Civil Service as she was handing them their credentials.

After the swearing-in the ceremony participants came to the statue of our National Leader, architect and builder of the modern Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev standing in the foyer of the Milli Majlis Buildings. They paid their respects to the memory of the Great Leader and put fresh flowers at the foot of the monument.
That was followed by the inauguration of the Victory Domain created in the parliament’s foyer: Sahiba Gafarova cut the red ribbon and declared the Victory Domain open.
The top of the Victory Domain has the expression of Azerbaijan’s President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev ‘Garabagh is Azerbaijan!’ inscribed. The centre is a display of the Patriotic War Victory orders and medals instituted by the Milli Majlis. The names of the sons of the Motherland lost in the war are carved on either side; on either side are also photos of the buildings destroyed in the occupation period and a photo narration of the remarkable rebuilding and restoration work afoot in the liberated territories.
The ceremony participants put flowers in front of the Victory Domain and paid homage in memoriam the heroic children of our people who fell at the Patriotic War.
