Deputy Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Galina Karelova and her accompanying delegation, in our country on a working visit currently, paid homage in memoriam our national leader Heydar Aliyev and adorned his graveside with flower bouquets on 22 November.

The Russian delegation also went to the Shahids’ Lane to pay respects to the memories of the heroes who had parted with their lives in the name of their Motherland’s freedom and sovereignty. Fresh flowers were put on their gravestones.

As the visitors enjoyed the view from the highest point in Baku, they listened to a tale of the history of the Shahids’ Lane and the current building and amenity work around the Azerbaijani capital city.

Members of the Milli Majlis WG for inter-parliamentary connexions with Russia Agalar Valiyev and Mikhail Zabelin as well as other officials kept the visiting delegation company.
