We reported earlier that the Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova are in the Kingdom of Cambodia for the 43rd General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

The 23rd of November saw, amongst other things, a dialogue of representatives of the ASEAN member states’ parliaments and those of the observer-status parliaments on the margins of the General Assembly. Among those were also the head of the Milli Majlis working group for inter-parliamentary connexions with Cambodia Ramin Mammadov and MP Elnur Allahverdiyev.

Our MPs spoke at the session Peace, Sustainable Development and post-COVID-19 Recovery. Their narratives were about Azerbaijan’s engagement in keeping peace, maintaining sustainable development and the recovery process in the post-covid period. They also announced the achievements secured in all those areas.

The Milli Majlis members answered the questions of the ASEAN parliaments’ representatives afterwards.
