Chairman of the Milli Majlis International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Committee and head of our permanent delegation to the PACE Samad Seyidov will be in Paris on 8 December for a meeting of the PACE Bureau.

The intended monitoring of the elections in the European Space slated for 2023, the PA’s costs for the coming fiscal year, the 2023 inter-parliamentary co-operation work plan and several organisational issues will be tabled at that meeting.

The PACE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy and the PACE Monitoring Committee will be in their respective meetings in the French capital on 13-15 December. Samad Seyidov and Asim Mollazade of the aforementioned permanent Azerbaijani delegation will take part in both gatherings.

The Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy intends to discuss the Council of Europe’s input in preventing human suffering in armed conflicts, its own work in the field of economic collaboration and progress, keeping peace and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, partnership for democracy and other matters.

As for the meeting of the Monitoring Committee, its participants will busy themselves with bettering the monitoring procedure of the Assembly, honouring of obligations by Turkiye, Moldova, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Hungary, Serbia and Georgia. They will also look at the post-monitoring dialogues with Bulgaria and Montenegro, the membership obligations of San Marino and France, and further subjects on the agenda.
