Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis/head of the parliamentary Youth and Sports Committee Adil Aliyev had another meeting with young winners of academic Olympiads on 8 December in keeping with the work plan of the committee that he is heading.

Vice Speaker reminded the champions of the thematically-diverse Olympiads that forming specifically teenagers and the youth as learned and educated worthy citizens who are fit both physically and morally was one of the priorities President Ilham Aliyev had defined. The youth and academic areas are also in the focus of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, whilst the educational projects initiated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributed in an unprecedented manner to the advancement of both said areas, according to Adil Aliyev. He stressed as the conversation went on that the successful youth, education and academic state policies had made certain that the Azerbaijani youth studied at prestigious universities abroad nowadays. Besides, Vice Speaker Aliyev underlined the special importance of the relevant decrees and orders signed off by the Head of State.

Adil Aliyev remarked as he was talking about our grand victory in the 44 days’ Patriotic War, attained with the leadership of President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, that we were citizens of a victorious country and were each proud of our historic victory. This victory, in turn, necessitates more responsible, patriotic and educated young people because the envy and the provocations of various foreign powers against Azerbaijan that followed our prevalence bring to the fore our youth’s efforts to keep such onslaughts in check. Our young people ought to succeed academically and in education, and contribute to the strengthening of the nation and state alike by moving from one achievement to another constantly since our youth’s successes are the successes of our nation and state.

The young participants of the meeting thanked for the attention, care and cordiality of it. They promised to keep up the good and hard work. The meeting went on as points of youth interest were covered.

Mr Aliyev and the young people walked down to the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the foyer of the Milli Majlis Houses. Besides, Adil Aliyev introduced his guests to the Victory Corner too in the same parliamentary foyer.
