The visiting members of the Indonesia-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group went to the Alley of Honour and the Martyrs’ Lane on 31 January.

In the Alley of Honour, the Indonesian guests paid tribute to the memory of our National Leader, architect and builder of the modern Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev, and put fresh flowers at his graveside.

Once in the Martyrs’ Lane, then, the Indonesian parliamentarians commemorated the heroes fallen for their Motherland in the course of the Patriotic War. Their gravesides were adorned with fresh flowers too. Also, the guests went to the Eternal Flame Memorial.

Then, the Indonesian MPs were enjoying the cityscape sprawling before them as they stood in Baku’s highest point and listened to a story of the origins of the Martyrs’ Lane and the current building work around the capital of Azerbaijan.
