The visiting delegation led by President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament Ion-Marcel Ciolacu went to the Alley of Honour and the Martyrs’ Lane on 27 February.

First, they went to the Alley of Honour to pay tribute to the memory of our National leader, architect and builder of the modern Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev whose tombstone they decorated with a wreath and fresh flowers.

On arriving at the Martyrs’ Lane the Romanian guests paid their respects in memoriam the sons of the Motherland who had laid their lives down for the sake of her freedom and sovereignty. Their gravestones, too, were adorned with fresh flowers. The visitors also walked on to the Eternal Flame Memorial.

Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev, the leader of the Azerbaijan-Romania inter-parliamentary connexions WG Azay Guliyev and other officials accompanied with the Romanian MPs on both sites.
