The Mexican parliamentary delegation visiting in Azerbaijan and led by the chairman of the Mexico-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Chamber of Deputies of Mexico’s Congress of the Union Albert Villa Villegas went to the Alley of Honour and the Martyrs’ Lane on 28 February.

They reached the Alley of Honour first where they paid homage in memoriam our National Leader, architect and builder of the modern and independent Azerbaijani State Heydar Aliyev whose grave they adorned with a wreath and fresh flowers.

Over at the Martyrs’ Lane, the Mexican MPs paid tribute to the memory of those fallen for Azerbaijan’s freedom and sovereignty; their gravesides were decorated with fresh flowers. The Mexican delegation also went to the Eternal Flame Memorial.

Our officials including the leader of the Milli Majlis working group for inter-parliamentary connexions with Mexico Jala Aliyeva kept the Mexican delegation company on both trips.
