A Meeting with a French Senator at Milli Majlis

The head of the Milli Majlis working group for the Azerbaijan-France inter-parliamentary connexions Soltan Mammadov began his meeting with the visiting member of France’s Senate Nathalie Goulet on 3 March by commenting on the Azerbaijani-French relations, the resolutions of France’s Senate and National Assembly biased towards Azerbaijan and the hurdles for peace conversations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

They also talked about the new reality established across our region following Azerbaijan’s having freed her own lands from Armenian occupation in 2020, the enforcement status of the Trilateral Statement inked by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia in November that same year, the progress of the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace talks, the Azerbaijani eco activists’ protest rally on the Lachin-Khankendi road, the significance of the meeting held with the Armenians of the Garabagh Economic Region lately and other matters.

The above-said WG’s members Javanshir Feyziyev, Tural Ganjaliyev and Nigyar Arpadarai, the French ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Boillon and other officials also took part in the meeting.
