The visiting delegation led by Sholban Kara-ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, went to the final resting place of the Great Leader, architect and builder of our modern independent state Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honour on 7 March.

Members of the delegation put flower bouquets at the gravestone of the Great Leader.

They also commemorated the outstanding ophthalmologic researcher Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and adorned her gravestone with fresh flowers as well.

Next, the State Duma delegation went over to the Martyrs’ Lane to pay attribute to the memory of the heroes fallen in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of their Motherland.

Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Adil Aliyev and other officials accompanied the Russian delegation on both trips.
