Azerbaijani MP Kamila Aliyeva joined the online meeting of the Permanent Sciences and Education Commission of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly alongside members of the other Commonwealth national parliaments on 10 March.

The meeting participants reviewed the new editions of the model draft laws ‘On Target Funds in Support of Academic, Engineering Research and Innovative Activities’, ‘On Academic and Engineering Research’ and ‘On Regulating the Internet’ as well as an international educational project ‘Technological Challenges – the Engineers of the Future’.

Kamila Aliyeva made comments and suggestions of her very own while they were discussing the draft Regulations of the CIS International School Humanitarian and Social Olympiad.

Besides, the CIS IPA Permanent Commission considered model legislation in science and education, AI regulation, Olympiads and outreach projects in CIS countries, and the Commission's activities in 2022. The Commission also set a date and provisional agenda for its next meeting.
