Our MPs to Monitor Parliamentary Ballot in Kazakhstan

A group of Milli Majlis members are leaving for Astana on 16 March to monitor the extraordinary parliamentary election in Kazakhstan, set to take place on 19 March.

Javanshir Feyziyev and Hikmat Mammadov will observe the process on behalf of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) whereas Igbal Mammadov and Rufat Guliyev will be monitoring for the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

Our MPs will, as international monitors that they will be, check ballot stations for readiness and on the poll day they will be keeping an eye on the proceedings and check voter activity levels.

Their trip to Kazakhstan will end on 21 March.

The MPs are elected as based on the majority electoral system by free, private and confidential vote reliant on the general, equitable and immediate suffrage. The tenure of a Milli Majlis convocation is 5 years.
