Joining the 7th StPb International Labour Forum
The international conference Regulation of International Migration Processes in the CIS Member States was held in a hybrid format within the framework of the 7th St. Petersburg International Labour Forum on 15 March, the international conference.
Member of the Milli Majlis/Chairman of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights Nizami Safarov connected to the conference remotely alongside the Commonwealth parliamentarians, experts, academics and politicians as well as representatives of international institutions.
Nizami Safarov said during the conference that the CIS parliamentarians were paying attention to social and labour areas, increasing productivity, education, vocational training and other issues. Over the years of its existence, the IPA CIS has adopted a number of model laws and recommendations in this area. MP Safarov also gave his thoughts on the regulation of migration processes in the CIS, the protection of migrant workers' rights and the fight against human trafficking.
The conference participants then discussed the formation of a CIS common labour market, facilitating attraction of foreign specialists to domestic labour markets, introduction of digital information technologies in the field of labour migration, raising labour productivity and other issues.
The conference was capped with the adoption of final recommendations concerning the discussed topicality.
