At Scheduled Meeting of PABSEC Culture, Education and Social Affairs Commission
National delegations of the member-states of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Co-operation went online for the 60th meeting of the PA’s Culture, Education and Social Affairs Commission held in the videoconference mode on 23 March.
Azerbaijan’s legislature was represented by the chairman of the Milli Majlis Labour and Social Policy Committee and of the aforesaid PABSEC Commission Musa Guliyev and MP Ramin Mammadov.
The draft report about mass media’s role in socio-economic development of the BSEC countries was tabled, considered and approved at the meeting. A draft set of recommendations on the same topic was voted in as well. Besides, the PABSEC Commission members listened to an overview of the current activities of the BSEC and took care of several administrative matters. Musa Guliyev was re-elected as chairman of the Commission; his deputies were elected, too.
It was then decided that the 61st meeting of the Commission would be held in Russian Federation in October this year and that the role of parliaments in boosting child protection policies in the BSEC member-states would be discussed at it.
