Milli Majlis Chair Sahiba Gafarova Speaks with Chairman of Senate of Kazakhstan
Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Mäulen Äşimbaev during her current working trip to Russian Federation.
The two legislature speakers referred to the positive growth dynamics of the ties between the friendly and fraternal states – the ties that embrace many areas and are getting special upwardly impulses from the leaders of the two states whose close relations help push our co-operation up and make it stronger still. Mrs Gafarova and Mr Äşimbaev remarked on the favourable influence of reciprocal visits of the heads of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan of recent years on the bilateral links as well. They especially emphasised the import of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to Kazakhstan on 10 April 2023 during which the two sides established the Supreme Inter-State Council and inked several documents so as to continue the progress of our connexions. In addition, a Heydar Aliyev Street was inaugurated in Astana in token of the Kazakh reverence to the memory of the Great Leader.
Our countries co-operate actively, and this is true of the two-way format as well as of their contacts in international organisations – especially those in the TÜRKPA, Mrs Gafarova and Mr Äşimbaev agreed.
Then, they talked about the place that the legislative assemblies of the two countries occupy in the on-going advance of the inter-state relations, stressed the gratifying quality of the inter-parliamentary connexions as they are today and pointed out that the regular exchange of legislature heads’ visits over the past few years contributes outstandingly to the strengthening of our relations. The friendship groups of the sides were praised as well; it was said that Azerbaijani and Kazakh MPs’ two-way trips and periodical encounters in important inter-parliamentary entities matter very much for continuing progress of our relations in general as well as in terms of discussing topics attracting attention on both sides.
Sahiba Gafarova put Mäulen Äşimbaev in the picture as to Azerbaijan’s current restoring her own lands delivered from occupation and Armenia’s provocative stints plotted to undermine the efforts to secure lasting peace in our region.
Other subjects of shared interest were also discussed as the conversation went on.
