Trees Planted in a Greening Rally Arranged by Milli Majlis
A greenery planting rally took place in the settlement of Mushfigabad on 7 May at the initiative of the Milli Majlis to honour the centenary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova, First Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis Ali Huseynli, Milli Majlis Deputy Chairs Adil Aliyev and Fazail Ibrahimli as well as parliamentary committee heads, MPs and staff of the Parliamentary Staff took part in the planting campaign.
Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev who had joined the rally as well said that Eldarica pines and olive-trees had been planted in its course.
The campaign aims to improve the environmental situation, continue the tradition of promoting environmental culture and public concern for Nature, and contribute to environmental protection by encouraging tree-planting and greenery activities in general.
