Our MPs to Monitor Elections in Türkiye

A group of members of the Milli Majlis are going to Istanbul to monitor the forthcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in Türkiye on 14 May.

The parliamentary committee chairs Ziyafet Asgarov and Hijran Huseynova as well as the MPs Hikmat Mammadov, Jala Aliyeva, Imamverdi Ismayilov, Mahir Abbaszade, Parvin Karimzade, Javanshir Feyziyev, Sevil Mikayilova, Soltan Mammadov, Elshan Musayev, Shahin Ismayilov, Vugar Bayramov, Mazahir Efendiyev and Ramin Mammadov will join the international monitors. They will inspect the degree of preparedness for the elections and, on the ballot day, they will be keeping an eye on the proceedings and observe voter activity levels.

Our MPs visit to Türkiye will be over on 16 May.

The MPs are elected as based on the majority electoral system by free, private and confidential vote reliant on the general, equitable and immediate suffrage. The tenure of a Milli Majlis convocation is 5 years.
