Azerbaijani MPs will be Monitoring Elections in Türkiye

Several members of the Milli Majlis will be leaving for Ankara and Istanbul on 11 May in order to monitor the presidential and parliamentary elections in Türkiye due on 14 May.

Head of a Milli Majlis committee/WG for the Azerbaijan-Türkiye inter-parliamentary connexions Ahliman Amiraslanov and the MPs Aghalar Valiyev and Anar Mammadov will be acting on behalf of the TÜRKPA. MP Azay Guliyev will be monitoring for the OSCE PA whilst the MPs Rafael Huseynov and Kamal Jafarov will keep an on the ballots under the auspices of the PACE.

They will inspect the preparedness for the elections; on the voting day they are going to trace the process and observe constituents’ activity ebbs.

The MPs are elected as based on the majority electoral system by free, private and confidential vote reliant on the general, equitable and immediate suffrage.
