PABSEC Working Group for Rules of Procedure Held a Meeting

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) Working Group for Rules of Procedure held an online meeting attended by the representatives of the member-states including Deputy Chairman of the PABSEC and Leader of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Assembly MP Eldar Guliyev and the PABSEC Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev for Azerbaijan on 1 March.

The addenda and amendments to the PABSEC Rules of Procedure and to the Charter of the PABSEC International Secretariat motioned by Russia, Bulgaria, Greece and Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev were tabled at the meeting presided over by Chairman of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee Mikhail Yemelyanov.

Mr Hajiyev stated his views of the amendments proposed by the Working Group members Peter Kanev, Violeta Ivanova, Anna Purtova, Simeon Kedikoglu and Cemal Öztürk.

Having looked at approximately ten proposals including, to mention but two, fragmenting the PABSEC Committee for Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs and reducing the rota term for senior positions by 1 year, the Working Group decided on having some of them revisited and the majority discussed by the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee.

And then, the meeting of the PABSEC Working Group for Rules of Procedure was over.
