Azerbaijani MPs to Join CIS IPA Commissions’ Meeting, an International Forum

A group of Milli Majlis Members are leaving for St Petersburg on 17 May to take part in the scheduled meetings of the Permanent Commissions of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

The MPs Anar Mammadov, Rauf Aliyev and Amina Aghazade will attend the meetings of the Economic and Financial Issues Commission, the Culture, Information, Tourism and Sports Commission and the Legal Issues Commission, respectively.

Several model draft laws concerned with economic matters will be reviewed at the meetings. Also, the CIS parliamentarians will discuss the draft laws ‘On E-Communications and Digital Media’, ‘On Television and Broadcasting’, ‘On Charity’, ‘On the State Cadastre System’, ‘On Property Transfer Contacts’ and so forth.

The three Azerbaijani MPs and their colleague Azer Badamov will also take part in the international forum ‘St Petersburg – the Commonwealth’s Parliamentary Capital’, dedicated to the 320th anniversary of the city. And MP Emin Hajiyev is going to get connected to the same forum remotely.

The forum will have tours-de-table ‘Youth Parliamentarism – a Youth Legal and Political Culture Nurturing School’, ‘Development of Co-operation in the CIS: the St Petersburg Experience Features’, ‘The Legislative Assembly of St Petersburg: the International Parliamentary Co-operation Culture’ and ‘The Parliamentarism Institute in the Midst of Global Changes’.

Our MPs’ trip to RF will last until 20 May.
