A Meeting with Representatives of Azerbaijan Innovations Export Consortium
Members of the Milli Majlis Committee for Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising met with representatives of the Azerbaijan Innovations Export Consortium (AZINNEX) on 3 March.
The IT companies’ operations under new circumstances and putting innovative, competitive and quality products and services out on both the global and the local markets were discussed at the event participated by the Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Innovations Export Consortium Farid Kazimov and the Consortium representatives Rauf Hasanov (BestComp Group), Ilham Namazov (Cybernet), Muhammad Zulfugarli (Ultra Technologies), Hikmat Abdullayev (IDRAK Technology Transfer Company), Vusal Rustamov (The Innovations Centre) and Yana Krimpe (B.EST Solutions).
Chairman of the parliamentary Committee for Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising Tahir Mirkishili welcomed the visitors and said that digitalisation of our country; introduction and application of information technologies in all the fields and promotion of innovative activities were priority matters in the national economic policy. The global economic advancement has entered the ‘knowledge-based economy’ stage in our time and those countries that are capable of using innovative potentials efficiently will have the advantage in the coming years. The ICT-related legislation is being improved, the problems present in this area are being examined, a number of relevant legislative acts are in the making, draft laws are under discussion and the experience of other countries is being studied, according to Mr Mirkishili.
The Committee members Ali Masimli and Elnur Allahverdiyev stated their considerations, remarks and suggestions at the meeting before there was a thematic discussion was held. The attending business operators were heard; their questions were answered.
In the end, it was decided to make such meetings periodical and to strike up a relevant legislative co-operation between the parliamentary Committee and AZINNEX.
