Montenegrin Parliamentary Delegation Go to Great Leader’s Graveside, Martyrs’ Lane

A Montenegrin parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of Skupština Crne Gore Daniela Đurović went to the Alley of Honour on 22 May to pay tribute to our nation's leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Montenegrin MPs put fresh flowers at the tombstone of the architect and founder of the modern independent Azerbaijani State.

After that, the delegation from Montenegro visited the Martyrs’ Lane to commemorate the sons of the Motherland fallen in the struggle for her freedom and sovereignty. Their headstones were adorned with fresh flowers as well. Besides, the delegation members installed a wreath in front of the Eternal Flame Memorial.

As they were viewing the vista of Baku from the highest point of the city, the guests listened to a story about the history of Martyrs’ Lane and the amenity arrangements going on throughout the capital.

The Montenegrin parliamentary delegation was accompanied by MP Iqbal Mammadov who heads the WG for inter-parliamentary relations with this Balkan country, amongst other officials.
