Vice Speaker Adil Aliyev Talks to Head of The Gambia’s National Assembly

Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis and head of the Youth and Sports Committee of our parliament Adil Aliyev who is visiting in the Kingdom of Morocco currently has met with President of the National Assembly of the Republic of The Gambia Fabakary Tombong Jatta.

They exchanged views on the development of the co-operation between our parliaments, the current global situation, the emergence of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement at Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s suggestion and the conduct of summits of the COVID-19 Contact Group.

Mr Aliyev supplied Mr Jatta with comprehensive information about the almost 30 years of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, Armenian vandalism, expulsion of more than 1 million Azerbaijanis from their homeland and Armenia’s evading the signing of a peace treaty still even though the 44 days’ Patriotic War had that put paid to the occupation had ended nigh on three years ago.

Inter-parliamentary connexions and co-operation in inter-parliamentary organisations was discussed next.

Our MP Mahir Abbaszade and Azerbaijan’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to morocco Nazim Samadov took part in the meeting as well.
