Going to PACE Summer Session

Our MPs Samad Seyidov (who is also leader of our delegation to the PACE and head of the parliamentary International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Committee) and this delegation’s Rafael Huseynov, Kamal Jafarov, Erkin Gadirli, Konul Nurullayeva, Parvin Karimzade and Nigyar Arpadarai are going to Strasbourg on 18 June to take part in the summer session of the PACE.

The forthcoming discussions in Strasbourg will cover the outcomes of the observation of the parliamentary and presidential elections in Türkiye, threats to the rule of law and human rights emanating from transnational corporations, a holistic approach to health and health care, social integration of migrants and refugees, and promoting equal access to digital technologies, for example. Also, it is planned to discuss the reforms in the British human rights legislation, the situation in Ukraine and the regional security agenda. Furthermore, the meeting participants will listen to reports about the CE budget and priorities for 2024-2027, the PACE expenses slated for 2024-2025 and about also the performance of the PACE Bureau and Standing Committee.

Our MPs will be in Strasbourg until 25 June.
