Vice Speaker Adil Aliyev Meets with Speaker of Tanzanian National Assembly

Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis and chairman of our Youth and Sports Committee Adil Aliyev who is visiting in Morocco currently met with Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania Tulia Ackson on 13 June.

They exchanged views at length of the current state of the inter-legislature connexions and prospects for interaction in inter-parliamentary institutions. Adil Aliyev was pleased to mention the turning of a new leaf in the bilateral interaction during the Azerbaijani chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement. He also spoke of the significance of the summit meetings and other gatherings convened since our country had been chairing in the NAM, and talked about the work of the NAM Parliamentary Network, established at the suggestion of the NAM leader and Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev. The importance of co-operation in the NAM PN was underscored, too.

The conversation moved on to the 30-year-long Armenian occupation, large-scale restoration and revival of Azerbaijan’s recovered territories and the speedy launch of two international-standard airports in those lands.

Azerbaijani MP Mahir Abbaszade and our Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Nazim Samadov also took part in the meeting.
