Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis, chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee Adil Aliyev who is in the Arab Republic of Egypt currently had a meeting with President of the Egyptian Senate Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq on 11 June.

At the meeting, Adil Aliyev spoke about various events held in and out of Azerbaijan this year to celebrate the centenary of Heydar Aliyev, and praised the international kickboxing tournament in Cairo arranged on the same occasion.

Talking about the inestimable role and exceptional services of the founder of our modern independent state in defending and strengthening Azerbaijan's independence and sovereignty, Adil Aliyev said Azerbaijan, led by the worthy successor of Heydar Aliyev and follower of his cause President Ilham Aliyev, had become one of the leading states of today.

According to Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq, Azerbaijan’s achievements and growth gladden the brotherly Egyptian people, and the friendship of our countries will certainly be evolving, with the inter-legislature relations bound to continue contributing to its advance. The President of the Senate mentioned the fruitful Azerbaijani chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement and its dramatic contribution to the work of this organisation.
