Heydar Aliyev Cup Kickboxing Tournament Ends in Egypt
A kickboxing tournament co-arranged by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation has taken place in Cairo in celebration of our National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s centenary.
Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis and head of the Youth and Sports committee Adil Aliyev spoke at the jubilee tournament’s opening to address the invaluable role and exceptional contribution of Heydar Aliyev to the preservation and strengthening of Azerbaijan’s independence and sovereignty. Adil Aliyev also spoke of the National Leader’s endeavours to promote physical culture and sports – the endeavours that had been as tremendous as in all the other areas. The physical culture and sports policy established by the Grand Captain is in fruition today, and Azerbaijan is recognised as a country of sports, according to Mr Aliyev.
Going back to the Heydar Aliyev Cup, it went to the Azerbaijani kickboxers who left the Egyptian fellows behind with the 5:4 score.
