Mr Aliyev stressed during the talk that special importance was attached to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Morocco, and that the common religious and cultural values contributed to the progress of interrelations in a grand way.

He also touched on the solemn celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of the ascent to power of our National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The Vice Speaker talked on Heydar Aliyev’s contribution to the making of the Azerbaijani-Moroccan relations. Heydar Aliyev’s successor, the victorious Commander-in-Chief and President Ilham Aliyev, had led our army to victory and liberation of the Azerbaijani lands after thirty years of occupation in the 44 days’ Patriotic War. These regions of the country are now being restored at an accelerated pace, according to Adil Aliyev.

President of the House of Representatives of the Moroccan Parliament Rashid Talbi El Alami was glad to recall his participation in the jubilee session of the Milli Majlis honouring the centenary of Heydar Aliyev. He said that the work that this genius had done for our state and people set a fine example for the whole world.

President of the House of Councillors Enaam Mayara, then, spoke of inter-legislature co-operation and its input in the bilateral relations. He also underlined the special part that the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, established at Azerbaijan’s suggestion, played in promoting a further growth of the links between our legislative assemblies.

Various aspects of interaction in international parliamentary organisations were discussed as well as the conversation went on.
