Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova Arrives in Bulgaria on an Official Visit

Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and the delegation she is leading have arrived in Sofia, the capital of the Republic of Bulgaria, on an official visit earlier on 11 September.

The delegation consists, amongst others, of the Azerbaijani MPs Rauf Aliyev (heads our WG for inter-parliamentary connexions with Bulgaria), Aghil Mammadov and Anatoly Rafailov as well as Chief of the Milli Majlis Staff Farid Hajiyev.

The welcoming party at the international airport of Sofia included Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Bulgaria Filiz Husmenova, Head of the friendship group on Azerbaijan Hamid Hamid, Azerbaijan’s ambassador in the Bulgarian capital Huseyn Huseynov and the Bulgarian ambassador in Baku Ruslan Stoyanov.

The itinerary of the visit includes Mrs Gafarova’s meetings with Bulgarian leaders.
