Azerbaijani Parliamentarian to Join a Meeting of the CIS IPA Commission

Member of the Milli Majlis Jala Aliyeva is leaving for Grodno, Belarus on 26 September to take part in a meeting of the Permanent Commission on State-Building and Local Self-Government Experience Studies of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.  

The Commission will be discussing ensuring and preserving national electoral sovereignty, monitoring e-votes, arrangement of local self-government authorities’ efforts to support populations at the times of the pandemic, the same authorities’ digital activities to provide and protect civic rights as well as several draft recommendations and other matters.

Also, the meeting participants will look at several organisational matters and a plan of work for 2024, and will set the date and agenda for the next Commission meeting.

The Azerbaijani MP’s trip to Belarus will end on 1 October.
