As reported earlier, the draft Code of Competition is submitted to the Milli Majlis by way of the legislative initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The Bill is due for a public hearing at the Milli Majlis on 26 September in view of that its enactment will ensure a progress of the national economy and may make the local business environment more accessible. The hearing is in order at the suggestion of the parliamentary Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising Committee.

Amongst the participants of the hearing will be members of the political parties represented in the Milli Majlis as well as other MPs, Ministry of Economy Officials, delegates of business associations, the Chamber of Commerce and NGOs, and experts.
