Head of the Milli Majlis WG for the Azerbaijan-Czech Republic inter-parliamentary connexions Elnur Allahverdiyev had a meeting with Head of the Czech Republic-Azerbaijan inter-parliamentary friendship group of the Czech Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies Jan Kubík on 2 October.

Mr Allahverdiyev was pleased to remark that Mr Kubík, who had arrived in Baku to take part in the 84^th International Astronautics Congress, was in the Milli Majlis the second time this year. Such visits hold a special place in the progress of the bilateral relations, according to Mr Allahverdiyev who then turned to the subject of the Azerbaijani-Czech strategic partnership and underlined the two legislatures’ roles in the overall development of the relations between our countries.

As he spoke about the anti-terrorist measures of the Azerbaijani troops in Garabagh on 19-20 September, Mr Allahverdiyev thanked the Czech colleague for his truthful communication of Azerbaijani realia to the Czech society and parliament.

Jan Kubík thanked for the meeting, expressed satisfaction with his second visit to our country in such a short while, emphasised the resolve of the Czech Republic to further the friendly ties with Azerbaijan and said that the group he is heading had every intention of continuing spreading the truth about Azerbaijan.

Members of the Milli Majlis WG Emin Hajiyev and Aliabbas Salahzade shared their considerations about the furtherance of the bilateral inter-parliamentary connexions, too.

Other matters of interest to both sides were also discussed as the conversation went on.
