A group of Azerbaijani MPs will travel to St Petersburg on 11 October to take part in several planned events of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Deputy Chair of the Milli Majlis/Chairman of the parliamentary Sports and Youth Committee Adil Aliyev will join a meeting of the CIS IPA Joint Commission on Streamlining the Legislation on Security and Joint Response to New Challenges and Threats; he will also attend a meeting of the Permanent Defence and Security commission. The MPs Rufat Guliyev, Malik Hasanov and Mikhail Zabelin are going to take part in meetings of the Permanent Commissions on economy and finance, agrarian policy, natural resources and ecology, and the Budget Control Commission.

Besides, the Azerbaijani MPs will be at the forum Sustainable Development of Highland Regions that the IPA is organising.

This trip to St Petersburg will end on 15 October.
