Members of the Milli Majlis Committee for International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations had a meeting with the Knesset members in the Israeli legislature’s friendship group on Azerbaijan on 4 September.

The chairman of our parliamentary committee Samad Seyidov welcomed the delegation led by Yevgheniy Sova, a member of the above-said Knesset friendship group. Mr Seyidov said he was glad of the opportunity to greet the guests at the Azerbaijani legislative assembly.

Talking about the relations between our countries that are active in various fields, the committee chairman said that the opening of Azerbaijan’s embassy in Israel had set new qualitative standards for the inter-state relations. Also, Mr Seyidov praised highly the close bilateral ties and said that Azerbaijan, a home country to many creeds and peoples, has also been the place of abode of Jews since the ancient times.

Member of the Knesset friendship group on Azerbaijan Yevgheniy Sova thanked for the hospitality and cordial reception before speaking about the ties uniting our countries and offering his own ideas as to how those ties can be deepened.
