The leader of our delegation to the OSCE PA and chairman of the Assembly’s General Economic Affairs, Science, Tech & Environment Committee Azay Guliyev is leaving for the town of Portorož in Slovenia on 6 December. The purpose of this trip is to take part in the 23^rd meeting of the ministerial session of the Contracting Parties to the Barcelona Convention and Protocols that the UN Environment Programme is organising.

The concerned countries’ biodiversity and eco-system preservation and maritime pollution prevention practices as well as the relevant legislative frameworks will be discussed at this session.

Azay Guliyev will give a presentation ‘Green Transformation: from Decision to Action’ at the session. He will speak about green economy and climate change resolutions, steps taken to boost the international co-operation and the work scope his committee has earmarked for next year.

The Portorož Ministerial Declaration was signed to cap the event.

This trip to Slovenia will be over on 8 December.
