The visiting delegation led by the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong went to the Martyrs’ Lane on 1 February to pay respects for the memory of the Motherland’s heroic sons fallen in combat for her freedom and sovereignty. Fresh flowers were put on their graves.

As they observed the cityscape of Baku from the highest point of the capital then, the delegation were told of the history of the Martyrs’ Lane and the building and amenity work going on all over the city.

The IPU delegation were accompanied by the Milli Majlis member of the Union Soltan Mammadov and other officials.
